According to my brother, a man who worked under my
father named Shoji Okamura engineered my father's
downfall from the beginning. 'Now it's time to get
revenge of the enemy of our family! Will you help me?
'I'll do it!' I replied immediately. I started to
collect information on Shoji Okamura.....
My brother bought the house next to the Okamuras, and
I moved in, pretending that my parents lived in America
and I lived alone.
I began to infiltrate the Okamura family. I pretended to
be in love with the second daughter, Emi, and started
going out with her. The oldest daughter, Yuki, helped me
with my studies, while I helped Risa, the youngest. This
gave me a chance to bug the Okamura house, go through his
trash, copy files off of the computer, and more.
I reported it all faithfully to my brother. One day, shoji
Okamura disappeared, leaving the three sisters alone. My
brother wouldn't tell me what his plan was, so I was as
surprised as anyone when Shoji disappeared suddenly
like that. I was never sure if the information I was
getting was helping Eiichi get his revenge or not.
I was sure our revenge was over. But if so, why did I feel
so guilty? Looking at stubborn Emi, crying like that.
She'd lost her father, how could I be proud of what I'd
done? I realized that I had fallen in love with Emi.
Yuki quit school to support the family. Risa-chan seemed
cheerful enough, but I knew it was all a lie: she cried
and cried the night her father left the three sisters
alone.
