Blood is a first-person shooter developed by Monolith Productions and published by GT Interactive Software initially released on the PC way back in March 5, 1997. The game follows the story of Caleb, an undead early 20th century gunfighter seeking revenge against the evil god, Tchernobog. The game has a bunch of occult and horror themes, and features a ton of graphic violence, a large arsenal of weapons ranging from standard fare to the bizarre, and a pretty wide variety of bosses and enemies.
Blood's gameplay is similar to other classic FPS games like Doom, where the player has to activate switches or find keys to get through the levels, plus the usual 90's FPS fare like teleporters, traps, explosive barrels, lava pits, jumping puzzles, and combination lock doors. The game was pretty damned good back in the day and extremely underrated, getting eclipsed by titles like DOOM and Duke Nukem. Now, there will be an upgraded, updated release of the old classic.
