LyteShot Inc. has announced it will be demonstrating its live action, augmented reality gaming platform on the Epson Moverio BT-200 smart glasses at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show this week in Las Vegas at the Epson America booth #74728 in the Sands Convention Center.
LyteShot merges the physical and digital worlds with a groundbreaking new mobile gaming platform that turns any place in the world into a gaming arena. LyteShot introduces a sensor-based mobile game system that reimagines mobile gaming from players’ small, in-screen game area to the limitless, real-world outdoors. The LyteShot integrated platform is comprised of the LyteShot mobile app system, Lyter handheld device, and the LytePuck sensor, which leverage an array of sensors and combine to deliver an endless supply of games from live-action RPGs, FPS games, new variations of games of tag with obstacles, scavenger hunts with challenges, and adventures with complex storylines.
“By working closely with Epson to develop LyteShot on its Moverio BT-200 smart glasses, we hope to convey the technical versatility of LyteShot as well the depth of user immersion that’s possible,” said Mark Ladd, CEO of LyteShot. “Epson’s accessible smart glasses provide players with a level of comfort and engagement never seen before with mobile games. Once you slip these on, we believe you’ll have more fun and experience more thrills and chills with our imaginative augmented reality games than with any other previous gaming platform.”
“Epson is excited to be working with LyteShot to help them bring to life their compelling gaming application for the Moverio BT-200 smart glasses,” said Anna Jen, director, New Ventures/New Products for Epson America. “The Moverio BT-200 smart glasses provide developers the opportunity to create exciting consumer and enterprise Android-based applications that take advantage of the Moverio platform’s unique ‘look-through’ transparent display capabilities.”
Leveraging Epson’s patented core technologies, the Moverio BT-200 offers an unparalleled binocular smart glasses experience optimized for augmented reality applications. Micro projectors located on each side of the lens project transparent overlays of digital content directly in the user’s field of view over the real-world environment. In addition to the Moverio BT-200’s sensors for head-motion tracking and hands-free navigation, the smart glasses include a front-facing camera for video as well as image capture that detects real-world markers for augmented reality (AR) applications.
The LyteShot platform on the Moverio smart glasses will be demonstrated at the 2015 International CES in Las Vegas from January 6-9, at the Sands Expo Booth #74728. For more information visit www.Lyteshot.com.
