Bandai Namco announced that Tekken 7 second season of content will include Negan from the terrible, terrible TV show, The Walking Dead. It's a pretty odd addition, but hey, when you have a bunch of people who are desperate for anything Walking Dead, why not?
Negan is the leader of a group of killers/survivors in the Sanctuary called the Saviors, and they are not nice people. He uses a barbed wire wrapped bat to destroy his enemies, who he has lovingly named Lucille. Jeffrey Dean Morgan portrays Negan in the television series, and has been one of the few bright spots of another long slog of a season. The show is losing its star this year, so Negan may end up with a larger role in the show in this upcoming season.
The announcement came directly after the Tekken 7 grand finals concluded at Evo 2018, where Katsuhiro Harada, the series director was in attendance, who personally teased some Tekken veterans making their return for season two, then dropping the bomb with the Negan reveal, complete with his own trailer. From the sounds of things, Anna Williams and Lei Wulong will be returning, with six new characters altogether for the new season.
