Turbo Golf Racing's community-created items unveiled

Launching into Early Access and Game Preview on 4 August, with the community helping to shape the future of development

Manchester, UK – 28 July 2022. Turbo Golf Racing, the cross-platform arcade-style racing game from Hugecalf Studios and Secret Mode, is coming to PC, Xbox X|S and Xbox One through Steam Early Access, Xbox Game Preview and Game Pass on 4 August 2022.

From the moment Turbo Golf Racing was announced to the world in March 2022, Hugecalf Studios ensured the community was at the fore of development. Members of the official Discord Server have been busy creating and voting on cosmetic item ideas and Hugecalf Studios is pleased to reveal that, at launch, four pieces of community-chosen gear will feature in Turbo Golf Racing, with more planned for the future. These launch items are:

Tesla Spoiler by Shotdown

TGR Wheels by Steven Scott

Pin Pan Shield by ErebosSparky and robbin317

The community also provided essential feedback during two Beta periods to shape and balance Turbo Golf Racing ahead of its Early Access release. Hugecalf Studios pored over tens of thousands of comments and data points from the two Beta sessions, making key adjustments in the wake of these tests.

Critical changes implemented since Turbo Golf Racing's second Beta period include:

Shield pick-up added
Successfully blocking missiles adds an additional shield for 2s
Missiles no longer hit untargeted players
Shield actives for a short duration on respawn
Increase to the minimum distance players can be shot from
Added the option for players to manually select servers

Addition of a car front-flip assist toggle
Addition of a steering assist strength slider
New win badges
Rebalanced Star Times in Solo mode
Removed respawn exploit where players can gain ground by driving out of bounds

From 4 August, players joining Turbo Golf Racing will discover 30 courses, 11 gameplay-shifting Power Core abilities, eight-player cross-platform Grand Prix-style races online, a Solo Time Trial mode and mountains of cosmetics to unlock through daily and seasonal challenges. But that's just the start.

Regular free content updates—including new seasons, cosmetic items, Power Cores and golf courses—along with balancing tweaks are planned through Early Access. About Turbo Golf Racing
Turbo Golf Racing is a fast-paced arcade-style sports racing game for up to eight players, all competing to see whose speed-putting skills are up to par. Racers flip, glide, and dash their turbo-charged cars down winding fairways as they strike their oversized golf balls toward the finishing cup.

The sky's the limit when your cars have wings. Launch your turbo-powered car into the air and fly past the competition. Zip through tunnels, glide over fans and chase your ball over obstacles.

TACKLE THE TERRAIN
Use the terrain to your advantage. Launch over the boost pads, and down the fairway. Avoid the rough and the sand traps. Bend your shots around trees and through canyons. Race to the green.
