2P Games and Doublecross announce Sultan's Game, a narrative-driven card-based resource management title that will be released on Steam in 2025. In this game, players will have to play the cruel game of the Sultan and complete dreadful tasks that will force them to assassinate, abuse, and perform other hideous tasks. However, not everything is lost as your rising power as a servant of the Sultan will grant you the tools to end his tyrannical reign.
ABOUT THE GAME
This is a tale of love, death, and magic freely based on One Thousand and One Nights. You play as one of the powerful ministers of the mighty Sultan, a cruel king who treats his subjects like pawns in a deadly game for his own pleasure. Each week, depending on his mood, the Sultan will command you with one of four tasks: Carnality will require you to seek carnal pleasures; Extravagance compels you to spend lavishly; Conquer forces you into dangerous expeditions; and Bloodshed demands a human sacrifice. Fail any of them, and you will pay the price with your own life.
KEY FEATURES
- Kill, abuse, and perform other hideous acts to fulfil the Sultan's wishes.
- Use card-based mechanics to manage resources to complete each task. Sultan's Game will force players to explore the grey areas to survive, thrive, and, who knows, end the Sultan's rule.
- Accumulate wealth, intelligence, and equipment to complete NPC quests to recruit allies, build your influence, and become a power broker in the Sultan's court.
- Master the Sultan's tasks to grow stronger and challenge his authoritarian rule. Players will earn points at the end of each run to enhance their abilities for their following round, leading to different endings.

Doublecross is a small game development team based in Hangzhou, China. The team is led by producer Li Yin (李印) and writer Lyu Munan (吕木难), both of whom have rich backgrounds in translation and novel writing, and has extensive experience in mobile game development. Doublecross has previously created the critically acclaimed storyline and art of the "Spiral Waltz" game series. This creator-centered team, with ambitious storytelling goals, decided to shift to single-player platforms to create projects with fewer content restrictions, greater freedom, and more artistic narrative.
