2P Games and Circuit_Art announce the release of two DLCs for The Last Soldier of the Ming Dynasty, a 3D action game inspired by traditional landscape ink paintings. Shadow of Yamatai and Legend of Tang Dynasty release today on Steam for $4.99 / €4,99 (Shadow of Yamatai) and $3.99 / €3,99 (Legend of Tang Dynasty), and will feature a new roguelike mode as well as new maps, bosses, weapons, skills, and costumes.

KEY FEATURES OF THE LAST SOLDIER OF THE MING DYNASTY DLCS

The new DLCs for The Last Soldier of the Ming Dynasty will add a new layer of depth to this 3D action game. Shadow of Yamatai takes place after Feng Haipin leaves Fuling Island and embarks on a journey home with Liang Feng and Liang Yu. However, they encounter a storm at sea, and their ship is destroyed. When Feng Haiping wakes up on the shore, he discovers that Liang Feng and Liang Yu are missing. A stone monument on the shore reveals that this place is the ancient Yamatai, recorded as early as the Wei and Jin dynasties... Below you can find the new features added in Shadow of Yamatai DLC:

  • New roguelike mode. The DLC will feature three different domains with randomly generated levels.

  • New Maps. Explore five new domain maps on the lost kingdom of Yamatai, with unique atmospheres and new challenges.

  • New Bosses. Face five new mysterious supernatural entities known as yokai, each of them with unique powers and abilities.

  • New Equipment and Skills. The base armour has been updated. On top of that, there are five new sets of armour plus new powerful secondary-weapon skills.

And here are the new features available in Legend of Tang Dynasty:

  • Two new costumes: Tang Dynasty Mingguang Armor and Red Silk Tang Suit. The design of the Tang Dynasty Mingguang Armor draws inspiration from the armor worn during the Tang Dynasty, striving to capture the essence and grandeur of Tang military attire. While appreciating its artistic beauty, you can also deeply feel the magnificent spirit and cultural depth of the Tang Dynasty. The Red Silk Tang Suit is inspired by China's rich silk culture and the traditional Tang attire. Evolving through the tides of history, it conveys the warmth and pride that comes from this ancient legacy, allowing the beauty of this culture to be passed down through the ages.

ABOUT THE GAME

The Last Soldier of the Ming Dynasty is set during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. As a member of the Qi's army stationed to guard the coastal regions, specifically tasked with pacifying the seas, you were patrolling the waters when a storm shipwrecked your boat. Now, you are alone with your sword, the last soldier of the Ming Dynasty standing against the pirates – but your duty won't be fulfilled until your people's coasts are safe again.

The game's art is inspired by traditional Chinese ink and wash paintings. From the humblest blade of grass to the most majestic mountains of Fuling Island, each scene is beautifully painted in ink and wash. But combat also plays an essential role in The Last Soldier of the Ming Dynasty. It is built upon three basic attack actions: stab, cleave, and sweep, which form the basis of both offense and defense. While executing these moves, it is crucial to discern the enemy's attacks simultaneously. You can deflect their attacks by accurately anticipating the enemy's actions. Stay calm in the midst of the storm while you ponder the enemy's every move, and you will remain undefeated in battle.
