Survival City Builder ‘These Doomed Isles’ Leaves Steam Early Access With Major 1.0 Update

LONDON, UK – October 30, 2024 – Become a god, create a new world, and build a thriving civilization in These Doomed Isles, a roguelike survival city building game leaving Steam Early Access with a major new 1.0 content update today.

Today’s 1.0 release introduces a brand-new Campaign Mode, featuring unique missions for each of the game’s four playable gods, alongside an overhaul to the game's progression system, letting players earn Miracle Credits to unlock powerful new cards and build out their godly deck across each run.

Play through the game’s campaign as Cernunnos, the Celtic god of nature; Plutus, the Greek god of wealth; Acan, the Mayan god of wine; and Inari, the Japanese God of Rice and Prosperity, in scenarios showcasing their powers and abilities. Discover the new Challenge Mode – a new and improved version of These Doomed Isles’ previous Ascension Mode – where players must unleash their might across a series of increasingly difficult challenges.

Game Features:

  • Build A New World - Become a powerful god capable of building new lands in this survival city builder. Use your powers to harvest resources, provide shelter and protect your civilization from attacks, plague, starvation & more. Place land to expand, but beware of what lurks beyond the horizon…
  • Wield The Power Of A God - Play as four gods each with unique powers, making use of powerful cards to lead your civilization to survival. Rain meteors on invaders or stir up a storm to sink them at sea.
  • Grow Your Settlement - Build homes and structures for your followers, carefully managing their requirements to give them the tools they need to gather resources from the environment you create.
  • Manage Your Deck - Build your deck to ensure you can thrive (or, at the very least, survive) until the next harvest. Discover powerful synergies with over 250 cards to play with.
  • Survive - Will you survive These Doomed Isles? Defend against waves of invaders and powerful bosses determined to turn your settlement to rubble. Learn from failure to perfect your strategy and reign victorious.

Available now on Steam, These Doomed Isles is a roguelike survival city builder where players must forge new lands, build settlements, and protect their civilization from raiders, beasts and mythical monstrosities. Wield each god’s unique powers and use world-changing cards to create lands, place forests and secure your civilization’s survival. Craft your deck across strategic run-based gameplay, discovering powerful card combinations capable of providing bountiful harvests, constructing new buildings, or raining devastation down upon your enemies.
