Tails of Iron 2 aims to pierce your heart with today's 'Valentails Day' update
Crafting blueprints that turn players of Odd Bug Studio's critically acclaimed sequel into Cupid arrive alongside a host of quality-of-life improvements, including support for low-spec PCs.
Friday, 14th February 2025 – United Label and Odd Bug Studio have launched a free update for Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter on Steam and Epic Game Store, which will tug on your rodent heartstrings. The 'Valentails Day' update features new crafting blueprints that turn the game's rodent protagonist – Arlo, heir to the Warden of the Wastes – into a Cupid-like figure, adorned with a new winged armour set and fortified with a bow covered in hearts. Support for low-spec PCs with integrated GPUs has also been added through the addition of a texture quality option in the game's settings menu.
The new Cupid armour-set can be unlocked in two ways:
- For players starting a new game, the Cupid helmet and cuirass crafting blueprints are acquired after completing the 'Intro' main quest and are added automatically to the inventory. The Cupid bow and pauldron items are automatically added to the inventory.
- For those continuing from a saved game after the 'Intro' main quest, the items and crafting blueprints will be automatically added to the inventory.
The update also includes a range of quality-of-life improvements, including the ability to adjust the size of subtitles. Full details on the update, which will be released on console platforms before the end of February can be found here. Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter is now available on PC, PlayStation®5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch™.
