First English-Voiced Story Trailer Released for The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-; Pre-orders Now Available for Windows PC via Steam
Aniplex and XSEED Games Share First English Trailer Exploring the Origins of the Special Defense Unit and the Fight to Save Their School from Supernatural Monsters for 100 Days
TOKYO & TORRANCE, Calif. — Feb. 18, 2025 — Aniplex Inc., a diversified entertainment company, and XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today released the first English trailer for The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- featuring the origins of the Special Defense Unit. Aniplex also announced that pre-orders are now available for Windows PC via Steam in standard and Digital Deluxe editions for $59.99 and $69.99, respectively.
The Digital Deluxe edition includes digital versions of the artbook and soundtrack. Those who preorder the Steam version will receive a free digital novel. Meanwhile, pre-orders for the previously announced physical standard and limited editions on Nintendo Switch™ system are available via the Marvelous USA Online Store and participating retailers for $59.99 and $99.99, respectively. Details for digital editions on Nintendo Switch for the Americas will be provided at a later date.
The latest trailer details the transformation of protagonist Takumi Sumino as he gains the Hemoanima ability from a mysterious entity known as "Sirei", who recruits him to defend a school under attack. With no one to turn to but themselves, 14 students join Takumi and become members of the Special Defense Unit to save the school as the 100-day war of commences. The video also teases Shouma's early days as a hospitalized child placed into a mysterious device at Kamukura General Hospital.
The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- is scheduled for a global release on April 24, 2025 for Nintendo Switch™ and Windows PC via Steam. The Nintendo Switch version will be published by XSEED Games in the Americas with a physical release on the platform including a Standard Edition available for an MSRP of $59.99, and a limited edition available for an MSRP of $99.99. The limited edition includes a copy of the game on Nintendo Switch™, an art book featuring work from fan-favorite artists Rui Komatsuzaki and simadoriru, a CD soundtrack with 10 songs from the game's original score, an acrylic diorama featuring the main cast, a metal Last Defense Academy pin, a lenticular art card, a printed copy of an original The Hundred Line short novel, and 15 character art cards. The digital Windows PC version of The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- will be published by Aniplex globally and is available for preorder in a standard and Digital Deluxe edition with the latter including digital versions of the artbook and soundtrack for $59.99 and $69.99, respectively.
