1. INTRO

1.1. About this walkthrough and stuff you need

Most of the walkthroughs that I have read reffered to the
game as if you would played it for the first time. Well, this one
is NOT like that. It wasn't ment to help you guys find your way
through the game, solve puzzles, etc. I created this walkthrough for
people who already played the whole game at least once, but want to
gain more secrets in less than TWO hours without hurrying too much
(refer to chapter 2 to find out more about secrets).

Stuff you need? Well, of course... the game (the Japanese
version is called Biohazard - Last Escape); and a small trainer:
I warmly recommend Resident Evil 3 Trainer done by Dream Fantasy,
because this one does every little evil-hack thing that you need for
not having to wander around looking for stuff you need to continue
the game, and it also gives you powerful weapons to defeat your
enemies easier. (refer to chapter 4 for download information)

1.2. About the game (storyline)

I think it would be better if I would say a few words about
the whole Resident Evil series (RE1, RE2, and RE3).
It all begins in RE1, where you are able to play either with
Jill Valentine, or Chris Redfield. You are sent to investigate a
mansion located at the outskirts of an american city... Racoon City.
There you realize that the main factory of the city, Umbrella Inc.,
was not just an innocent chemical products manufacturer. Umbrella was
conducting secret experiments in that mansion, resulting in mutations
of plants, dogs, but most importantly, human beings. The Tyrant virus
(or T-Virus) experiments shortly got out of control. At the Racoon
Police Department (RPD), there was a special section, named Special
Tactics And Rescue Squad (S.T.A.R.S.). One of the S.T.A.R.S. teams,
the Bravo Team, was sent to investigate first, after the rumours
heard across the city, that Umbrella was doing weird experiments.
***Bravo Team misteriously dissapeared immediately. Very strange, but
Alpha Team was sent in there, too, right away. As a member of Alpha
Team, you have to make your way out of the mansion.
You find out that Wesker, the captain of S.T.A.R.S., was nothing but
a traitor, who comploted along with Umbrella, desiring to create the
ultimate bio-weapon.
***In RE2, you play with Leon S. Kennedy, a rookie police officer, and
with Claire Redfield, Chris' sister, who got in Racoon City looking
for her brother. You find the city full of flesh eating zombies,
which just can't wait to have a bite out of you. While playing with
Claire, you find a 12 y/o girl, Sherry Birkin. While playing with
Leon, you meet a fine lady, Ada Wong. You also find out more about
Umbrella's monsterous creations, like the G-Virus, a new virus
created by William Birkin, Sherry's father. He becomes himself a
monster, because he gets infested by the G-Virus, and his wife would
do anything to protect him. In the end of the game, you have to kill
him, after you have fought him and another huge monster created with
the G-Virus, Tyrant. During the game, you also meet the chief of RPD,
Brian Irons. Now you get to know the reason for he has not take any
precaution and sent Alpha Team to perish inside the mansion: he was
a traitor... not only a traitor, but an insane one.
***One cool thing in RE3 (you play with Jill again) is that the
action takes place in two different days: Septeber 28th and October
1st. In the 28th of September, at evening, you get infested by the
G-Virus. You are unconscious until the night of the 1st of October.
Claire and Leon arrive into the city in the evening of the 29th of
September, and escape in the morning of the 30th of September.
After you (Jill) wake up, you must control Carlos Oliviera, get him
to the Racoon Hospital, prepare the antidote, and bring it to Jill.
Jill gets well again, and the "last escape" continues. You find out
that you only have a few hours to get out of the city, before they
fry you and the whole city with an atomic bomb. So the action in RE3
takes place before and after the events from RE2.

**********************************************************************

2. About the game (characters, secrets, etc.)

As I said before, you play with Jill Valentine. You also get
to control Carlos Oliviera for a short period of time. You meet two
more mercenaries: Nicholai and Mikhail, and a desperate guy you meet
at the begining of the game, Dario. Of course, the evil character is
Nemesis, your boss enemy monster, who is chasing you during the game.

There are many secrets waiting for you to discover them:
8 epilogues and a "closet" of 8 (in total) costumes to dress Jill.
The costumes come in packs (you get more then one costume when you
finnish the game), but for all 8 epilogues you really have to finnish
the game 8 times.

**********************************************************************

3. Walkthrough

Epilogues are cool to read, and for a true RE fan they are a
delight, but most of you would get bored to run around the city to
get out of it. (example: you must go get the Book of Wisdom, return
for the Compass, go back to get the battery, and get into the subway
to get the fuse). This walkthrough will help you skip many parts like
this example (yes, you finnish the game WITHOUT doing any of the
above).
This game is not a stupid one, so it knows some things that
you have/haven't done. Some things only happen AFTER you have done
something. And so, many items from the trainer are useless (example:
you HAVE to prepare the antidote, or else the game will NOT go on;
Jill will NOT wake up, even if you have the antidote in your
inventory, put there by the trainer). So listen carefully when I say
"DO this, DON'T do that", if you don't want the game to exit by
itself, or get stuck.

You can either start an Easy game, or a Hard one. The
differences are very few: with a hard game you get a grade, a rating
upon finnishing the game, but you can "bump" into an inconvenient bug
while playing with Carlos (you have problems with your inventory).
It's nothing serious, it can be repaired, but if it happens several
times, it gets boring to keep switching tasks.
Obviously, you start with the explosion. Make your way to the
warehouse. After talking to Dario, go upstairs to the saveroom.
DO NOT TAKE THE WAREHOUSE BACKDOOR KEY. If you take the key, it might
be altered by the trainer and turned into a weapon, and you get stuck
inside the warehouse. The game doesn't really like switching tasks:
I had to reset my PC about 7 times, until I found out a safer way to
switch tasks: press . Now you are viewing your inventory. Now
press +. Start the trainer. You should click all the items
you need now, to finnish your bussiness with the trainer and have
everything you need in the palm of your hand.
Click on:
- Weapon Inventory
* Rocket Launcher
* M4A1 Rifle
- Intensified weapon
* M. Thrower
- General Item
* U. Card
* Complete Gear
* Machine Oil
* Lighter
* Fuse

If you chose Hard game, you should also click on:
- Misc.
* Slot=10
- General Item
* Ribbon:L.Pick
IMPORTANT: don't take THIS lockpick. It won't work (read further for
more). Put it somewhere down, where it won't disturb you.

The trainer may slow the game a little bit, so you can close it for
now. Switch back to the game (+ again or press the button
on the taskbar).
Now go to the item box and take with you:
* Mine Thrower E.
* Rocket Launcher
* Assault Riffle
* Ink Ribbon
(all infinite)
* Lighter
* First Aid Pack/Spray (depending on if you chose Easy/Hard)

Now you can safely take the key and head outside. Equip your Mine
Thrower and start shooting everything that moves. I must warn you
that the Mine Thrower hits zombies at first, not explosive objects
like barrels, bombs, street lights, because it's ammo has
auto-tracking system. So, if you want to use these objects, use the
Assault Riffle.
Don't bother opening the door leading to the shotgun, it would be
just a few more zombies to shoot. The shotgun is no use while having
so powerful weapons in your inventory. Don't go to the bar either.
Don't stop until the door tied with a rope soaked with oil. Blast the
zombies that burst in and enter the door. You find yourself now in
the Alley. Kill the "hotdog" and the other one, and enter the
saveroom. You may save if you want to. Go to the chest and leave:
* Lighter

OK, now exit the saveroom and the alley. You need a Lock Pick to open
the door leading towards uptown. As I said before DO NOT try to use
the Lock Pick from the trainer, because the game will ask you to...
DISCARD IT! and either answer you give, you will get stuck somewhere
inside the texture of the boutique. Very weird. So, you must take the
Lock Pick from the RPD building. Equip your Rocket Launcher and enter
the gate. Immediately after the FMV scene, press (or your action
key) to choose to fight Nemesis and shoot. He will fall down from the
first rocket. Run (over his body) to the other corner and wait a few
seconds until he gets up and screams. Now show him that you're kind
to him and serve him with another rocket. Go to Brad (at least what's
left of him) and take his card-case. Check it to get the card and go
get the password. Equip your Mine Thrower and kill the zombies. Get
the Blue Gem, the key and head upstairs. You may go and save in the
darkroom. Get the Lock Pick from the S.T.A.R.S. Office and go back
downstairs. Equip the Rocket Launcher. Nemesis gets in. Shoot him.
Wait. Shoot him. It's much easier than with the Handgun, isn't it?

Get out of the RPD building and open the door locked with a simple
lock. Do not try to shoot the biters. They won't attack you and you
can't kill them. The only thing you can do is hurt yourself with the
explosive barrel. Go outside and head uptown. Kill all the dogs from
the Parking Lounge and take the power cable. Enter the saveroom, save
if you want to, go to the item box and leave:
* Power Cable
* S.T.A.R.S. Card (if you haven't left it in the Dark Room)
Continue your journey by exiting the door. Kill the dogs (you can
just stand there in front of the door and shoot; the mines will find
their way through the dogs' bodies; you might get bit a little bit,
though). Equip your Assault Riffle and enter the door. See the short
sequence and start shooting at the biter. Don't bother killing the
other one. Just run to the exit. Now, you can either go to the
Restaurant first, or to the Newspaper HQ. But if you go to the
Newspaper first, you have to comeback for the green gem, and then go
back, so I suggest to go to the restaurant first, because it's a lot
faster. Open the lid, meet Carlos, and Nemesis pays you a visit
again. Don't run into the basement. Just hide inside the kitchen.
Then go back. He will get up in a few moments. You can easily kill
him with the Rocket Launcher, as usual, so make sure it's already
equipped, because Nemesis is a fast monster.

Exit. No need to go to the saveroom now. Just go forward. Put the
blue gem in its place and enter the Newspaper HQ. Restore the power,
go upstairs, kill the zombies and get the green gem. Exit the
building and put the green gem in its place, too. The gate opens. Now
go back to the saveroom (Shopping Dist.) and take with you:
* Power Cable
* Fuse
* Mixed Oil
This is your last chance to save in uptown. Next stop: Clock Tower.

Enter the gate, don't go to the Gas Station, get to the Trolley
(Cable Car), enter, see the cutscenes, or skip them (press ), exit
through the other door, and go round again to enter the first door.
Use the three items needed for the Trolley (Fuse, Power Cable and
Mixed Oil) and start the Trolley. Equip your Rocket Launcher for
another fight with Nemesis and prepare for some cool action FMV.
Choose to use the Emergency Break to stop the Trolley.

You can easily kill the crows with the Assault Riffle. Get into the
Chapel, save, take the Clock Tower Key, exit, blast the zombies with
your Mine Thrower, open the door, meet with Carlos, slap him :), go
to the main hall, enter the door on the other side, and go to the
saveroom. I don't think it's necessary to save that often, but it's
up to you. Enter the door, get the key behind the painting, don't
bother going further, just exit the room and return to the main hall.
Go upstairs, kill the spiders (hint: use the Assault Riffle - it
easily kills the little spiders, too - while aiming, press and
release the down button; the result is a wipe off of the little
spiders in front of you). Go to the third floor (using the Bazel
Clock Tower Key), solve the musical puzzle, get the Chronos Chain,
save, go to the item box, and take:
* Chronos Gear
Use it on the mechanism. The bell starts ringing. Usually, Nemesis
should now be already waiting for you outside. But you haven't met
him up here yet. Climb down the ladder and go towards the door.
Nemesis "appears" :). It's pretty cool to watch a scutscene with
Nemesis, without Nemesis. You have a multiple choice again, but you
MUST choose "USE THE LIGHT". If you choose "USE THE CHORD", the game
will close (exit by itself). So choose to use the light on the
"invisible" Nemesis and you push him off the balcony. Equip the
Rocket Launcher, exit the door, watch the beautiful FMV, and prepare
for a cool battle. After you fight him, you get unconscious and you
have to control Carlos. Go to the chest, and:
Leave:
* all your weapons
Take:
* Assault Riffle
* Rocket Launcher
* Mine Thrower E.
* Ink Ribbons
(all infinite)
* First Aid Pack/Spray

Exit the chapel, a few zombies await. Blast them all (it's kinda
beautiful to sit and watch the Mine Thrower E. bullets do their job
hitting zombie after zombie, in a round trajectory) and go to the
dining room. Watch out for the zombies who wait just round the
corners. They're harder to kill until they move. Exit into the main
hall, and make your way to the opposite door through the "ruins" of
the main gate. Enter the door. You will notice that it's NOT locked
anymore. Push the bell and go to the hospital. Two Mine Thrower E.
bullets are enough to kill a hunter, IF they hit it right. Don't
underestimate the hunters. If you are in FINE condition and a hunter
comes from your side (especially your right side), it can cut your
throat like it does to the zombie in the cutscene. That would KILL
you instantly. So don't let the hunters come too near.
Enter the saveroom. Save. Take the tape and go to the 4th floor.
First go to the Data Room, take the Sickroom Key, and head to the 401
room (you can skip the cutscene). Check the doctor, remember the
code number, check the position of the... shelf, or whatever it is,
unlock the 402 room, and enter (once inside, put the shelf to be
symetric to the one in 401). The painting falls, open the safe, take
the Vaccine Base, and go to the basement. Take the Medium Base,
operate the syntesiser (levers I, III, and A below), and create the
Antidote. Return to Jill. Inside the Hospital, in room 401, you may
find the little mutants (worm-like creatures), the ones which stick
to you and suck your blood. The easiest way to kill them is, like
with the little spiders, with the Assault Riffle. Return to Jill.
In the main hall of the Clock Tower, you will meet up with Nemesis
again, so have your Rocket Launcher ready. As the gate is crushed,
he won't be able to knock on the door, so he will knock on the wall
(a little bit too hard). Teach him a lesson of good manners written
on a paper packed inside a rocket. He will immediately lay down on
the floor and start reading.

As you get to control Jill again, you can save and exit. Equip your
Rocket Launcher and head towards the door. Nemesis already got used
to knock before entering, but he won't realize that it's not such a
thick door. We can all see that he's hungry again, so do him a favor
and serve him another rocket meal. As he just ate at Carlos' place,
he won't need more than one rocket to soothe his hunger and rest for
a while. Exit, go to the clock puzzle room. You have to enter this
room using the Chronos Key (Chain with the Winder Key). The clock
puzzle is not done yet. {Of course, there is no need to do it now,
but my advise is that you should find a small pocket somewhere to put
at least the Crystal Ball, because after you finnish the game, you
can sell it in exchange for a lot of money :) }.

Enter the small building at the Racoon Park Entrance, take the
Main Gate Key, and open the main gate of the park. Inside, you may
find either little mutants, or hunters. Remember that if you wanna
defeat your foes using defensive background objects, like the street
lights in the park, you mustn't use the Mine Thrower E. The auto-aim
will still work, though. So, when you press aim (), don't be
surprised if you turn to a wrong direction.

First, go to the Eastern side of the park, whatch out because this
part can be a dangerous one, and take the key from the mercenarie's
dead body. Go back all the way to the Western side, at the fountain.
Drain the pool and go downstairs. Don't bother killing the little
mutants here, because new ones will fall down from the ceiling; there
will always be three of them. Instead, just run to the stairs and
climb up quickly. Go to the graveyard door, unlock it and enter. Take
the pipe from the storer, and enter the saveroom. Save, and go to the
chest to take the:
* Lighter
Return to the previous room, light the fireplace, and use the pipe.
Enter the secret room, take the Rear Gate Key, and exit (you can
skip both cutscenes with the radio transmition and the conversation
with Nicholai).

Exit and equip the Rocket Launcher. Watch the FMV and start shooting.
DO NOT go any further then two steps (just for camera view). Just
shoot several times with the Rocket Launcher. The mutant dies, the
short cutscene shows the fence falling down and the mutant melting in
a disgusting way (so don't forget to wash your shoes by stepping in
the puddle :) ).

Return to the Eastern side of the Park and unlock the rear gate.
Equip the Rocket Launcher and enter the gate. Nemesis shows up.
Choose to "push him off" the bridge, and enter the facility at the
dead factory site. Go until the last door on the hall and enter. It's
a saveroom. here you meet up with Carlos again. SAVE (the last one),
and go to the item box and:
Leave:
* Mine Thrower E.
* Assault Riffle
* Ink Ribbons
* Lock Pick
* any unnecessary stuff that you may have picked up during
the game

Take:
* Card Key
* any health items that you may have picked up, like green
herbs, combined green/red, green/blue,
green/red/blue herbs and first aid sprays

Exit the room the way you entered, and head to the door with a Card
Key Reader. Use the Card Key, enter the tower, and go downstairs.
Shoot the zombies with the Rocket Launcher (as it is the only weapon
left in your inventory). Anyway, there are only two zombies alive
here. You can kill the one lying on the floor by pressing the down
arrow while shooting. There are keyboards which don't support three
keys pressed at once, though. In that case, you either change your
keyboard :), take another weapon from the chest behind you, or step
on its head while it's trying to byte you.
Enter the final room, go to the Control Panel, push the Battery nr.1,
(Nemesis appears and mutates), run to Battery nr.2 and push it, and,
obviously, run to Battery nr.3 and push it inside the slot, too. From
that moment on, keep shooting Nemesis with the Rocket Launcher. He
will eventually go away to the corner, where it's gonna be shot by
the Incinerator Weapon. At any time during the fight with Nemesis, if
you feel like your health is at Caution or Danger, quickly press ,
or your own items index key, and heal yourself with a herb/spray.
Head towards the door and try to exit. This multiple choice has no
importance if you have time until the missile arrives. You can choose
to "exterminate the monster", and you'll get a very nice cutscene.
It's worth a few seconds to watch. Get out, and find Carlos waiting
for you.

Watch the endgame FMV (awsome) and the credits (not skippable). After
that, ckeck out your present in the Epilogue section.
