How to use Junk:
Have you ever wondered "why the hell is all that junk (i mean that literally) in the game.all it
does is clog up room
space"Well here is a great use for the junk.If you give the guy at the
NYPD gun shop 300 pieces of junk he will build a weapon of mass destruction!!the best one there is
would have to be the rifle.

Infinite Bullets:
In the NYPD go downstair and enter the left door. You can find the bullets in
the box near the counter get it and go out to the New York map. Now return to
that room for more bullets. Repeat as needed.
The Missing Building :
After you win you'll be asked if you wish to save. Do so, then reinsert CD #1
and choose the EX game. You'll now see the Chrysler Building on the Manhattan
map. Go inside and make your way to the top to see the real enemy and ending.

Why Play The EX Mode?
Thanks to misinformation from many official sources, including the Brady Games Official
Guide, many gamers are finding out the hard way that there is no second ending movie.
The only difference between the ending in the regular game and EX mode is that there
are pictures and a new song that appears along with the credits. If there is no different
ending, then why play the EX Mode?
Well first of all, you'll get to battle a lot of brand new enemies and find many new, and
much more powerful weapons and armor. Secondly, you can enjoy building up your
main weapon and armor to your very own customized superweapons and armor with new
special parameters such as: 3xCommand, Add Cyanide, Auto-Cure, Anti-Confusion and
more. Thirdly, you'll gain access to the 77 floor Chrysler Building along with 3 brand new
and very tough bosses that are waiting within. And finally, the EX Mode will add at least
another 11-12 hours of gameplay to Parasite Eve.
How To Get There: After you beat Parasite Eve the first time, wait until the very end of the credits
and
save your game when given the chance. You should see an EX Mode icon appear with your
saved game data. Now restart the game and you should be given the EX mode option on
the opening screen along with "New Game", "Tutorial", and
"Continue". Choose EX Mode.
Bring Your Best Stuff With You: A nice feature of the EX mode is that you can bring over your best
weapon and armor
over from your past game along with any important items you may want to keep. When
you first arrive upon the Cruiser after defeating both Eve and Melissa you will be able to
speak with Wayne. He asks you if you want to engrave your name on one piece of
armor, and one weapon. Choose your best of each and name them (preferably something cool). As for
items... if you don't invision using something in the final
battle,yet you want to keep it, such as a tool or supertool, store it with Wayne and you should
be able to pick it up at the NYPD in the EX Mode.
Build Up Your Stats:It is a general consensus that the Chrysler Building is quite tough, so build up
your
levels, weapon, and armor before heading in. What you should do is go through the
entire game until just after you have defeated theT-REX boss in the museum. This is the
last boss that you can fight where you can still return to the city map and the Chrysler
building. By this point your should be around level 35, have Liberate, and your weapon
and armor should be seriously powerful.
Second Ending:
All what's needed to do is play ex game, go to the new building go all the way
up for 70 of normal floors (each 10th floor had a boss, defeat the boss for the
key to go short cut BACK down) then keep going for few floors without any monster, then fight Aya's
sister Maya.... yep, not a mistake. her sister Maya
(the original Eve) then there's totally different ending. P.S. i wouldn't say
her sister's easy!!!

Beware when rebuilding levels for the ex game:
I finished the first part of parasite eve and gained access to the ex game. i
played the game up to the point where i defeated the t-rex. there is one flaw
however. if you go into klamps office where you are equipped with maeda's gun
you cannot get rid of it even in the ex game. thus, you cannot switch to better weapons. i assume
the only way to get rid of this gun is to play the
entire game thru again since you aren't automatically equipped with maeda's
gun until the very end. this of course means starting back at square one. so
i guess i have two choices. because i was wise in my saving techniques i can
just start over at the start of the ex game and rebuild my levels which will
take roughly 10 hours or i can continue thru the chrysler building and take my
chances with the weapon i am currently equipped with. i hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. my
advice, stay clear of klamps office.

Sub-Quest:
There's a sub-quest in Parasite Eve.Once the whole song and credits are finished, you then are given
the option of saving your game.After doing so, you
kindda start all over again,exept that there's a new location on the map which
is The Chrysler Building. It is suggested you rebuilt your power before entering
it, because you're back to Level One. However, it doesn't take very long to get
to a decent level since you get to keep the last weapon & armor you finised
with.The Chrysler building is 99 floors of fighting. There's a storage room,an
elevator and a set of stair on every floor and there's a Boss every 10th floor.There is only one
saving point, on the 1st floor. Every time you defeat a
Boss, you are given a key that will operate the elevator so that you can go back
to the 1st floor, save and come back in 5 minutes instead of a half hour and
then go for 10 more floors.I haven't got to the top yet; it is very time consuming all these floors.
But I'm curious since I have heard that it is worth
it to get to the top. I didn't find these tips on my own but in some strategie
guide ordered through the mail,I thought you'd like to know.
