Dragonball Z: Legends/Dragonball Z-Idainaru Dragon Ball Densetsu Complete FAQ
Psx and Sega Saturn FAQS

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We would like to first start this FAQ by thanking Henry LaPierre for his list of fights,
characters, and default controls for the Saturn version of this game. If there is something
missing here, check out his FAQ, also on GameFAQS.com and/or E-Mail him at Freeza@ix.netcom.com
if you feel the need to thank him for his minor, yet major helpful contribution to this FAQ.
Also, we got all of the Gameshark Codes for the PSX from the Game Software Code Creator's Club
at http://www.cmgsccc.com/ Visit their site for all your Gameshark Needs!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, this game was made only in Japan and released only in Japanese. This and
other FAQS are a translation of some of the content in the game. To play this game on the Sega
Saturn,

To be fair to me and the others who helped make this FAQ possible, I don't want this
FAQ used at all by anybody or reproduced for their own personal benefit without my permission
or consent. If done so otherwise, my company will be forced to press minor charges resulting
in fairly stupid fines. Sorry, and thanks...

Now that we have come to an agreement, (I hope for your sake!) I want to say how this
game caught my attention and why I am writing this FAQ. First, this game is awesome. Second,
my company told me to. And third, I finished all my homework for this month and ran out of stuff
to do, so here I am. To a more personal note, we are 12 and 13 years old and yes, we do work
for a company.

Legends is one of those rare games that come out with a new system of battle and
gameplay that make it fun. Furthermore, some think that playing a game based on a TV show is
stupid. Let me take this back to the mindless people that played PONG or TETRIS as if in a
hypnotic state of mind. If you are a person that is judging me or anybody else on this FAQ
that fits that description, I pity your self-confidence and kindness towards others and their
recreational activity in comparison to yours. This game is awesome and you can't convince me
otherwise. Anybody that I have ever seen play this; adult or not has loved it. Unlike Ultimate
Battle 22, this game is VERY fast-paced and exciting. If you still don't understand everything
going on, either play the game, read below, or stop smoking weed. (Your Choice...)

Object:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To be quite honest, the object is simple... it's just performing it that is difficult.
The object is obviously to defeat your opponent(s) and bring his life bar to nothing. To do
this,
there is a power balance at the bottom of the screen. You have to give continuous hits to your
opponent(s) until the power balance on your side overlaps the power balance distributed on their
side. Every direct hit you deal to your opponent(s), a part of your power balance will go their
way. Once again, when everything for them is gone, you screwed them. Your character will
perform one of their Meteo attacks bringing a part of their life down. How much is brought down
depends on how strong your person compared to your opponent which you'll know if you watched
the TV show. When you get their life down, they'll die and when all of your opponet(s) are gone,
you win. BE WARNED!!! They can deal damage to you and the computer almost always sets you up in
a disadvantage. By the way, you can fight in different areas. For each area, you can fly in the
air and yes, blow shit up as well! :) You can blow up and knock over trees, buildings, and other
cool stuff in the game!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Game Modes:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 3 game modes on the game and an options mode. They are...

Z Campaign
VS Battle
SP Battle
Option
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Z Campaign:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First, the Z Campaign which serves as a story mode. This story mode, if you watch the
show, covers all of DBZ from after the Raditz battle. Somehow, they managed to fit it all into
eight battles. (The following is not my walkthrough for these battles but a simple explanation
of who's fighting and what to expect.) For each battle, you get a score depending on how you
fight it like it was in the series. Some fights are hard, and some are simple. If you get around
a perfect score when you beat the game, you get to watch extra things in the credits. (Pictures
of DBZ's stages it went through.) Also, you can save your game or campaign.

Saiyajin's Arrival- Your characters begin by battling the Saiyajin Napa. When he is defeated,
you fight Vegeta who is only a bit harder...
You Get: Goku, Gohan, (Child), Piccolo, and Kliylin.
They Get: Napa, Vegeta
Battle Rating: Simple

The Ginew Squad- You begin by fighting the Frog-Guy Gurudo. When beaten, Recoom shows up. After,
you fight Baata and Jiisu. Finally, you fight Captain Ginew.
You Get: Goku, Gohan, (Child), Kliylin, Vegeta
They Get: Gurudo, Recoom, Baata, Jiisu, Captain Ginew
Battle Rating: Simple

Freezer Saga- You have to fight Frezer with whoever you have. (Or have left for that matter!)
Also, if you let Kliylin die while Goku is out, Goku will turn Super-Saiyajin and then you can
put him in and kick total ass.
You Get: Goku (Normal and SS), Gohan, (Child), Kliylin, Piccolo, Vegeta
They Get: Freezer (Final Form)
Battle Rating: Average (If strategy for high-score used. Otherwise, simple!)

Android Saga- You begin fighting Dr. Gero (#19) and the fat-shit #20. When they are defeated,
you fight #16, #17, and #18. You can get #16 to leave by taking Goku out of your party. This is
since #16 was made only to kill Goku.
You Get: Super Saiyajin Goku, Super Saiyajin Gohan (Child), Piccolo, Kliylin, Super Saiyajin
Trunks, and Super Saiyajin Vegeta.
They Get: #16, #17, #18, #19, #20
Battle Rating: Simple

Cell Saga- You have to fight Cell and 2 Cell Juniors at once!!!
You Get: Super Saiyajin Goku, Super Saiyajin Gohan (Child), Piccolo, Kliylin, Super Saiyajin
Yrunks (Mirai Battle Armor), Super Saiyajin Vegeta.
They Get: Cell, Cell Junior 1, Cell Junior 2.
Battle Rating: Hard if played like story, Simple if otherwise...

Majin Boo's Resurrection- You begin fighting against Dubura. WHen you hit him with 2 attacks,
you fight Majin Vegeta who is Vegeta after being brainwhashed by Dubura himself. After Dubura is
dead, you get Majin Vegeta back on your side and all of you fight Majin Boo.
You Get: Super Saiyajin Goku, Super Saiyajin Gohan (Teenager), Goten, Youn Trunks, and in some
parts, Super Vegeta.
They Get: Dubura, Majin Vegeta (Temporary), Majin Boo.
Battle Rating: Simple

Battle Of The Buu's- You Start out against Majin Boo, then, you fight Super Buu
You Get: Super Saiyajin 3 Goku (Temporary), Goten, Young Trunks and Piccolo(for the first fight
against Majin Buu. When Super Buu arrives, SS3 Gokou leaves and Gohan(teenage) replaces him,
Goten and Young Trunks fuse creating Gotenks.
They Get: Majin Boo, Super Buu
Battle Rating: Difficult

Buu Saga Ending- Super Buu is your first enemy. After beating him, he turns into Kid Buu for the
final battle.
You Get:Gogeta(in the first battle against Super Buu) After defeating Super Buu, Gogeta de-fuses
and you control SS3 Gokou and SS Vegeta against Kid Buu. If SS3Gokou gets hit with a meteo
attack he will lose his power and revert back to plain old Gokou. If you lose either of your two
characters while fighting Kid Buu, then Majin Buu will join in on your team.
They Get: Super Buu (Temporary), Kid Buu
Battle Rating: F******G Hard to get 100% if you are a newbie...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Upon beating the Z Campaign, you will open up a new mode called SP mode. (Special Mode.)
In the Saturn version, you can go back to any fight by going to yourr save file and scrolling
left or right to the fight you wish to do over.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Versus Mode:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this, ther are 3 modes that you can go to...

1p VS 2P: You verses somebody else
1P VS COM: You verses a "Computer Character"
COM VS COM: You watch 2 computers go at it. (Not like that...)

For every battle, you can select up to 3 people for your side and 3 people for the
opponent's side. (To select, press A on Saturn, or O on the Playstation.)You cannot have the
same people as your opponent but you can put them in a disadvantage for once... :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SP Battle:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a SPECIAL MODE for people who beat the Z Campaign. I believe you need to have a
record on your memory card or memory in your Saturn of you beating this for SPECIAL MODE to load
up. In this, you do battles in between the series in the Z-Campaign and battles that could have
happened in the series. If you watch(ed) the series, decide for youself where these would fit.
Also, you cannot choose who you are or who you will face. You can't even choose who you want to
put in or out. This is an advanced mode for good players (Battles 1-9) and Experts (Battles 10-
30.). Like the Z-Campaign, in the Saturn mode, you can re-fight any previous battles that you
have completed. Personally, we both beat the SPECIAL MODE with relative ease.

SP Battles- (Your characters you get are on the left side of the V.S..)

1. Piccolo VS Gohan(young)
2. Nappa VS Vegeta
3. Vegeta and Nappa VS Freeza
4. Freeza and Ginew VS Vegeta, Gokou and Nappa
5. Jiisu and Baata VS Ginew, Recoom and Gurudo
6. Gokou and Jiisu VS Gohan(young), Vegeta and Kulilin
7. SS Trunks VS Freeza
8. Piccolo VS Super Vegeta
9. Androids #19 and #20 VS #17 and #18
10.Android #16 VS Cell and a Cell JR.
11.Android #17 VS #18 and Kulilin

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What They Do:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Powering up:

This is very important as every attack you perform will consume some
power from your characters energy meter. This is how you power up.
Hold the power up button, your character will glow and become
surrounded by energy, the longer you hold it, the more your energy
meter fills. You are very vulnerable while doing this so be careful.

Flying:

The controls in this game are very simple. To advance towards your
opponent, simply hold up on the directional pad, to retreat, hold
down. If you press the power up button while flying towards or away
from your opponent, your character flare with energy and fly faster,
leaving a trail of energy. This burns up your energy level very fast,
so use it sparingly. To revert back to normal speed, press the power
up button again. While the flying fast energy boost is being used you
can double tap left or right on the control pad to fly in a circular
pattern from your opponent, thereby changing the angle of attack
(and rotating the screen). You can also fly at angles this way by
double tapping diagonally on your control pad. To get a quick burst
of speed in a certain direction, double tap and hold the control pad
that way and press the power up button, your character will get a
short burst of speed. Other than this, you will only move towards or
away from your opponent.

Blocking:

Holding the block button will block everything, no power at all is
gained on the power meter for the opposing team if you block moves.
The games biggest problem(in my opinion) lies in the blocking system
that the game uses. Yes everything can be blocked, but you can only
block attacks by your targeted opponent, which is just fine in a
one on one fight. But when you have more than one character on each
team, the computer will gang up on(or your opponent can send his whole
squad after) one of your characters. You cannot block anything an
opponent who is not your primary target does. This gets extremely
frustrating when your after one character, but he's always near
another member of his team, now you can't advance on them because
the one that your not targeting will hit you easily. You are then
forced to use energy flying away quickly. This flaw also comes into
play when attacking, you will only hit your targeted opponent, even
fireballs that are in a direct line with a non-targeted opponent
will not hit(but they can hit your characters in the back :).

Fireballs(energy attacks):

Press the KI button to shoot an energy burst. Hold the button
for a bit and let go, when you do, your character will launch a
bunch of energy blasts very fast. The longer you hold the button,
the more the character will fire(and the more energy it will consume)
As soon as the button is pressed, the character locks his aim at the
spot that his targeted opponent is in. When the button is let go, the
energy bursts will travel towards that spot, if the opponent has moved
towards you they will still hit, as he is still in their path. If
your opponent has changed his angle of attack, the bursts will pass
by him and you'll be stuck firing for the length of time you held the
button, leaving you wide open to an attack. Fireballs will only
slightly sway the power meter in your favor, and thats with an awful
lot of them. Use them primarily for slowing down your opponent.

Character select button:

This is available in Z Campaign mode only. It brings up the character
select screen, where you can substitute or call out a player from
your team. The computer takes control of all fighters on your team
when this screen is up. To select a new character to join the battle
you must have less than 3 characters in use at the time. If you have
3 in use, Highlight the character you wish to have leave the battle
and press A (Saturn), O(Playstation). The word "Chain" under the
chosen character will roll to read "Over." Then select the character
you wish to join the battle(must have the word "Over" under him) by
highlighting his portrait and pressing the A(Saturn), O(Playstation)
button again, the word "Open" will roll to "Chain" and he will join
the battle under your control. To get back to the battle press the
Character select button again.

Scroll player characters button:

This button, when pressed scrolls through the characters on your team,
allowing you to directly control different characters at different
times. The larger portrait at the top is the character currently
under your control. The Saturn has one button for this and it scrolls
from top to bottom through the characters. The Playstation has two
buttons for it, one scrolls top to bottom, and the other scrolls
bottom to top.

Scroll through opposing team(targeting) button:

This button, when pressed scrolls through the characters on the
opposing team(represented by large pictures on the top right hand
side of the screen in one player modes, or small portraits at the
end of your characters life and energy bars in two player modes).
Whichever character you stop on will be the only character that your
character will/can attack while under your control. It is also the
only character that you can block the attacks of. As with the player
character button, the Saturn has one button for this, it scrolls from
top to bottom through your opponents. The Playstation has two, one
scrolls top to bottom, the other, bottom to top.

Attack button:

The attack button has a few different functions, depending on the
way the directional pad is pressed before hitting this button.

Just the button(no motion)= a flurry of punches and kicks, this
will deflect fireballs(starting move for all the grab and
attack moves, also regular grab and attack on Playstation)

Forward, Forward+Attack= grab and attack(combo starter)(on the
Playstation, this must be done during normal flurry of hits
attack)

Forward+Attack(during any grab and attack)= knock opponent across
the screen

Back+Attack(during any grab and attack)= knock the opponent the
opposite way across the screen

Up+Attack= hit that knocks opponent into the air

Down+Attack= hit that knocks opponent downward onto the ground

Back, Forward+Attack= knocks opponent left or right across screen

Half circle from right to left+Attack(grab and attack)(during
normal flurry of hits attack)= grab and attack pushing your
opponent upwards with hits(the initial flurry of hits has
to make contact) It does not matter which side of your
opponent you are on.

Half circle from left to right+Attack(grab and attack)(during
normal flurry of hits attack)= grab and attack pushing your
opponent downward with hits(the initial flurry of hits has
to make contact) It does not matter which side of your
opponent you are on.

If you are surrounded by the energy flare while attacking, all your hits will cause the
power meter to rise faster.Alos, it burns up energy fast!

All the attacks can be strung after the grab and attack moves to create combos. The grab
and attacks can be hooked onto the other moves as well, making for very long combos(I've done a
23 hit with SS Trunks). To do this just keep the directional pad held(on the Playstation you
must Tap and hold) in the direction of your knock away move. Your character will then chase the
knocked opponent, stopping where they land(or as soon as you let go of the direction held). Then
just follow up with another move, there you have it, instant combo. Be warned on the higher
levels characters controlled by the computer are very good at breaking combos. The combos are
called "connects", sometimes it will say "high connect." What a high connect is, is your
personal best combo for that battle. Meaning that if you perform a combo consisting of eight
hits, and you get a high connect for it, you will then have to perform a combo consisting of
nine hits in order for it to be deemed a high connect again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Combinations:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a short step by step on the way the connect system works. This
was originally written for someone who was having a hard time on the
Playstation version, but it will work for the Saturn also.

Step #1
The initial hit:
Hit the Attack button(O/A=Attack) when next to your opponent.
This will make your character rapidly punch or kick.

From this you can(while the punches or kicks are happening)
perform one of the following.

Step #2
The flurry attacks:
Half circle left to right + O/A: this will cause your character to
flutter around your opponent punching
and kicking while driving them
downward.
Half circle right to left + O/A: this will cause your character to
flutter around your opponent punching
and kicking while driving them
upwards.
Forward forward + O/A: this will cause your character to circle your
opponent while delivering a flurry of punches
and kicks.

From this you can(while the punches and kicks are happening)
perform one of the following.

Step #3
The knockaway attacks:
Down + O/A: this will knock your opponent downward.
Up + O/A: this will knock your opponent upwards.
Left or right + O/A: this will knock your opponent away, in the
direction your character is facing.

From this you must perform(directly after the knockaway attack).

Step #4
The warp:
Tap the direction that you knocked the opponent 2X's(twice), holding
that direction after the second tap.
For example, if you knocked the opponent upwards, tap up twice,
holding up after the second tap.
This will cause your character to follow the knocked away opponent.
If done correctly, a streak in the shape of your character will
appear between the position you were in, and the position you ended
at(where your opponent landed).

From this you can(as soon as you are next to the knocked away
opponent).

Press attack to repeat the initial hit(your character will rapidly
punch or kick). Now just repeat from Step #2. :)

You can also start a combo with Step #3 or,
Just repeatedly press a direction(on the directional pad) and the
attack button to keep slamming your opponent against a wall, the sky
or the ground, instead of the way described above. Just do it very
rapidly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Escape Tactics:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can escape your opponents attacks by doing the following as soon
you see your opponent start his move(time it so that you perform
your escape when you see your opponents move pause, before they
start swinging towards you. You have a better chance for success
if you do the escape for the same move your opponent is doing to you
(Playstation this is necessary), but the Up or Down ones seem to work
on all the knockback attacks(Saturn only). (note: Where it says to
"hold" the Block button, on the Playstation version you must "Tap"
the block button and the direction at the same time)

Hold Block and press Up=best escape from Up+Attack(attack that would
knock you into air)
Hold Block and press Down=best escape from Down+Attack(Attack that
knocks you downward)
Hold Block and press Forward=best escape from Back, Forward+Attack
(across screen attack)

To escape from the grab and attack portion of a combo, double tap
the control pad any direction except straight up or down while
Holding the power up button.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saving:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After completing a battle in either Z Campaign or SP Battle, you are given standings, in Z
Campaign you are given a rank, the higher the number the better. If you follow the storyline of
the story exactly, you will recieve a perfect score of 100.

In SP battle you are judged in these catagories:

Time to complete the current battle
Total time in battle so far
Number of characters killed in the current battle(your team)
Total number of characters killed so far(your team)

From this standings screen, press a button to get to the Save
screen. On this screen you can choose from the following:

Continue but do not save
File 1
File 2
File 3

Press the accept button when you have highlighted your choice. It
will now ask you if you want to do what you selected. Yes is the
first choice, no is the second.

Strategies For Winning-
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strategy For Winning 1 V.S. 1-
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Below are strategies of how to win one on one battles against computers in the game...

Strategy #1: Common Sense Tactic

Beat the tar out of the opponent. Keep hitting them and following them every time they
try to recharge. When they run out of energy, hit them with F,F+A attactks to boost the power
bar up on your side faster until they regain some KI. Then repeat the process...

Strategy #2: Cheap, Most Effective, Master In Ten Minutes Tactic

This is a strategy made by mainly Matt Massee and improved by Morgan Gibbs. This is a
cheap-ass strategy and is preffered by the both of us. To do this strategy, simply hit the enemy
once when they have a Ki field around them. Then, keep hitting them with normal attacks while
they burn up their KI while holding up. By holding up, when they try to run away, you will
follow them and hit them before they can run and recharge their KI. When they run out, charage
up your KI to a good amount. (You will probably be low!) Then, hit them to the ground by
pressing Down+Attack. Keep this up unitl you are low on KI. Then, repeat until the power balance
is yours. If done right, quickly, and thoroughly, they should not have enough time to recover
from fatigue and you should beat them down without them touching you. If you want to take a
risk, let the KI field go around you while you are hitting them down to increase how much the
power balance bar goes down by. This is very easy to learn if you unbderstand how we explained
it...

Strategy #3: Hit And Run Tactic

In this, hit your opponent with either physical or energy attacks and then run for it,
charge up your KI, wait for them, and continue. Don't worry, the computer will run right into
your hands when you wait in one place so you can hit them. Also, a very effective, yet long,
tactic of victory...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strategy For Winning 1 V.S. 2 {or} 1 V.S. 3-
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below are strategies to beat one on two computers or one on three computers in the
game...

Strategy #1: Hit, Damage, And Run Tactic

This is what I find to be the best tactic of all. All you do is run from the opponents
for a while and watch their energy bars. When you see that one of them is charging, attack the
other one swiftly with two attacks, hit them to the ground until the other opponent realizes
what is happening, and then run again. While running, don't refrain from charging your KI when
opportunity has its chance. Also while running, occasionally shoot a KI when you see the
opponent is close and doesn't have a KI field araound them. If you hit them with a KI and the
other opponent isn't in sight, they will be open so hit them and drop them as many times as you
can, and then run. The battles will still be up to twenty minutes this way, but it's the best
way...

Strategy #2: Suicide Tactic

This is the stupidest thing to do of all... Try to fight normally when fighting two or
more people by yourself. When you have an opponent in a combo, their ally will hit you out of it
and beat the crap out of you. Unless you are on easy mode, (EVEN THEN!) this tactic is unlikey
and stupid. Unless you are a fairly good player or experts like us, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strategy For Winning 2 V.S. 2 {or} 3 V.S. 3-
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below are strategies to beat two on two computers or three on three computers in the
game...

Strategy #1: Fight Normally, And Cautiously Tactic

Fight being aware of your opponent's allies, for they will switch from who they are
fighting to you so they can kick you out of combos, contacts, or just surprise you and screw you
up leaving you open for another attack. My advice to you is to fight like you normally would
using any one on one tactic and you, being prepared to switch opponents to help your allies or
switching characters to help your situation. As long as you watch your back, these should be
easy fights. When you beat one or more of your opponents, the fight is over and unless you suck,
you should basically win.

Strategy #2: Run And Help Tactic

In this strategy, you should just block and occasionally shoot KI blasts to your
opponent(s). In this, you let your allies handle most of the work. But, if they are in need of
your help or stuck in a combo by the computer, bail them out. This will work as long as you help
your allies when they need you and the fight is evenly matched or you have the winning
advantage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strategy For Winning 2 V.S. 1 or 3 V.S. 1 or 3 V.S. 2-
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below are strategies to beat two on one computers, three on one computers, or three on
two computers in the game...

Strategy #1: Fight Like You Would Against One Tactic

In this, fight like you would against one computer opponent and let your alli(es) take
care of the rest. As long as you outnumber the computer and you know a little bit of what you
are doing, this should be a sinch!

Strategy #2: Dopplegang

In this, help out one of your allies so it is a two on one. The fight should go fast this
way. (Especially in a 2 V.S. 1!) If there are any opponents left, take care of them however you
want!

Strategy #3: DO ALMOST NOTHING!!!

As long as you outnumber your opponent, keep running and let your alli(es) take care of
the rest! This may take a while, but you should come out victorious for very little effort at
all!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Z Campaign Walkthrough-
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Though you can beat the Z-Campagin however you want and still get an ending, there is a
secret ending that you get by achieveing an almost perfect score. To achieve a perfect score,
you have to follow everthing in the fights almost "Exactly" like they were in the series. When
done so, you wil recieve up to one-hundred percent per battle. If you want to screw around and
still see the secret ending, see my cheats section to find out how to adjust your score...

Battle #1-Sayajin's Arrival:

Start the battle with Nappa using Gohan, Piccolo and Kliylin. Take Gohan and Klilyin out
of the battle right away. Let Nappa kill Piccolo.(You can have piccolo hit him with 2 meteos
before he is killed and still get a score of 100.) After Piccolo is killed you will be taken to
the character select screen, choose only Gokou to enter the battle. Have Gokou kill Nappa. After
Nappa is defeated, Vegeta will enter the battle. Still using only Gokou, have Gokou kill Vegeta.
Sometime in this level, you must score a high connect of at least 3 hits. (Combos Or Super hits
like F,F+A/O)

Battle #2-The Ginew Squad:

Start the battle with Gurudo using Gohan and Kliylin. Immediately take them out and
replace them with only Vegeta. Have Vegeta kill Gurudo. After Gurudo is defeated, Recoom enters
the battle. As soon as this happens, take Vegeta out of the battle and replace him with only
Gokou. Have Gokou kill Recoom. As soon as Recoom is defeated, Baata and Jiisu will enter the
battle, when this happens call Vegeta back into the battle to fight with Gokou. Have Gokou kill
Baata. After Baata has been defeated, Ginew will join the battle, continue fighting with Gokou
and Vegeta. Have Vegeta kill Jiisu. As soon as Vegeta kills Jiisu, take Gokou out of the battle.
Kill Ginew using only Vegeta. In this level, you must score a high connect of at least 4.

Battle #3-Freezer Saga:

Start the battle with Freezer using only Gohan, Kliylin and Vegeta. Immediately take
Gohan and Kliylin out, leaving only Vegeta. Let Freezer kill Vegeta. After Vegeta is killed,
bring in only Gokou. Have Gokou fight Freezer until he has hit Freezer with two meteo attacks,
the second will be the Genki Dama. As soon as Freezer is hit by the second meteo attack, take
Gokou out of the fight and bring in Gohan, Piccolo and Kliylin. Immediately take Gohan and
Piccolo out, leaving only Kliylin to fight Freeza. Let Freeza Kill Kliylin (HA HA HA!). This
will cause Gokou to turn Super Saiyajin. Now fight Freeza with only Super Saiyajin Gokou . Have
Super Saiyajin Gokou kill Freezer. At any time, you must score a high connect of at least 5
hits.

Battle #4-Android Saga:

Start the battle with Anddroids #19 and #20 with only Super Saiyajin Gokou. Take him out
immediately and replace him with Piccolo and Vegeta. Have Piccolo kill Android #20. As soon as
#20 has been defeated, take Piccolo out of the battle, leaving just Vegeta to fight Android
#19. Have Vegeta kill #19. As soon as #19 has been defeated, Androids #17 and #18 join the
battle. As soon as #17 and #18 show up, take Vegeta out of the battle and bring in Trunks and
Piccolo. Have Trunks kill Android #18, then have Piccolo kill Android #17. At any time, you must
score a high connect of at least 6 hits.

Battle #5-Cell Saga:

Start the battle with only Super Saiyajin Gokou. Immediately take him out and replace him
with Piccolo, Kliylin and Vegeta (this will cause Cell to leave the fight and create three Cell
Juniors). As soon as you have them enter the fight, take them back out again. Now bring in only
Gohan and Trunks. Have Gohan kill at least three Cell Juniors (each time one is killed, another
replaces it). After Gohan kills his 3rd Cell Junior, let Cell kill Trunks (leave Gohan in so
that Cell won't leave the battle). After Cell has killed Trunks, have Gohan leave the battle.
Bring in only Super Saiyajin Gokou, and have Cell kill him. After Gokou has been killed, bring
in only Gohan. Have Gohan Kill Cell. At any time, you must score a high connect of at least 7
hits.

Battle #6-Majin Boo's Resurrection:

Begin the battle against Dabura with only the Great Saiyajin Man(Gohan). Hit Dabura with
two meteo attacks, this will cause Vegeta to become possessed and become Majin Vegeta. He will
join the fight on Dabura's side. As soon as Vegeta becomes possessed, bring in Super Saiyajin
Gokou to fight alongside the Great Saiyaman(Gohan). Let Majin Vegeta kill Super Saiyajin Gokou.
After Super Saiyajin Gokou is killed have the Great Saiyajin Man(Gohan) kill Dabura, this will
cause Majin Vegeta to revert back to Super Saiyajin Vegeta and go back to your team. At this
point Majin Buu will also join the battle. Continue using the Great Saiyajin Man(Gohan) against
Majin Buu. Let Majin Buu kill the Great Saiyajin Man (Gohan). Bring in Vegeta to fight Majin
Buu. Let Majin Buu perform two meteo attacks on Vegeta (the second meteo will be the huge energy
blast around himself, you need to have this one happen). After Majin Buu performs the explosion
meteo attack on Vegeta, have Trunks and Goten enter the fight. As soon as they arrive, have them
leave the battle. Now have Vegeta kill Majin Buu. At any time, you must score a high connect of
at least 8 hits.

Battle #7-Battle Of The Buu's:

This battle is pretty hard... Start the battle against Majin Buu using only Super
Saiyajin 3 Gokou. Have SS3 Gokou hit Majin Buu with two meteo attacks. Take SS3 Gokou out and
replace him with Goten and Trunks. As soon as the kids enter the fight, they will perform the
fusion dance and become Gotenks. Have Gotenks kill Majin Buu(Super Buu will join the fight as
soon as Majin Buu is defeated, SS3 Gokou is replaced by Gohan on the character selection screen,
who now becomes a playable character from this point on). Still using only Gotenks, have Gotenks
hit Super Buu with two meteo attacks. After hitting Super Buu with the second meteo attack, have
Gotenks leave the battle. Bring in Gohan and have him kill Super Buu. At any time, you must
perform a high connect of at least 9 hits.

Battle #8-Buu Saga Ending:

Start the battle against Super Buu with Vegetto (Gojita). Have Vegetto kill Super Buu.
After you have defeated Super Buu, Kid Buu joins the battle, and Vegetto seperates back into
Super Saiyajin 3 Gokou and Vegeta. Use only Super Saiyajin 3 Gokou, and have him hit Kid Buu
with one meteo attack. After you have hit Kid Buu with a meteo attack have Super Saiyajin 3
Gokou get hit by two meteo attacks from Kid Buu. After the second meteo attack, Gokou will lose
his power and revert back to plain Gokou. At this point take Gokou out of the fight and bring
Vegeta in. Let Vegeta be hit by two of Kid Buu's meteo attacks, this will cause Majin Buu to
enter the battle on your side, and fight with Vegeta against Kid Buu(he does not appear on the
character select screen, but you can control him). Let Kid Buu kill Majin Buu. After Majin Buu
is killed, let Kid Buu kill Vegeta. Then bring in Gokou, he will still be in his normal form.
Use Gokou to kill Kid Buu. Since Kid Buu had already been hit by one meteo attack earlier in the
battle, Gokou needs to only hit him with two meteo attacks. Gokou's second meteo attack will be
the Genki Dama, which is what you have to kill Kid Buu with(you can also perform a meteo attack
with regular Gokou when he first powers down, before taking him out, doing so will leave only
one meteo attack to be performed at this last point). At any time, you must perform a high
connect of at least 10 hits. THE END

If you got a perfect or near perfect score, then you get to see the secret stuff. (Not
worth the trouble if you ask me!) Otherwise, you get to see the credits with pictures of the
characters. Either way, congratulations, you just beat the game and opened up SP mode. How do
you feel?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that you have SPECIAL Battles opened up, I will give you tips of how to beat the
computers in the Match-ups that they give you. Where it says Suggested Strategy, refer back to

When you have beaten the SP battles, you don't have anything else to do other than beat
it again, share your knowledge with the world, or play another one of the great DBZ games made
for the PSX, Saturn, or other systems... Anyway, if you plan on purchasing Dragonnball Gt, Final
Bout is english, good luck. If you plan to get it in japanese, may I suggest Express.com who I
got ot from for a very low price. Also, I got a cheap converter that let my PSX play japanese
games. On Saturn, you may want to try e-Bay for converters.
